Restaurant Review: RIMS Deli- Fair Oaks, California

Posted on October 8, 2010

Earlier this week my wife and I had the privilege of visiting a close friend in Manhattan  and after dining at several great restaurants, we were told we had to experience what is widely regarded as one of the best pastrami sandwiches around at the famous New York landmark,  Carnegie Deli in Times Square.  Coming in we had high expectations.  Possibly unrealistic expectations.  I have to say that a single sandwich priced at 16 bucks better be good… and it was…, but not nearly as good as what has to be the best pastrami sandwich in Sacramento at the RIMS Deli in Fair Oaks.  The RIMS Deli also has a full selection of other deli items, but my problem is I can’t walk into the place without coming out with a pastrami sub.  If you’re looking for a great sandwich at a very reasonable price, give them a shot.  Your going to love it.  I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!
